Bills Lose In The Big Easy

Lawson Has Setback: Manny Lawson suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury so he had to sit today again. Doug Marrone confirmed it wasn't the best news. He had said he expects Lawson to play on Sunday now he is day to day. Fred Jackson was back on the practice field in limited duty. C.J. Spiller did not practice but did a few things in individual drills before working on the side with trainers along with Lawson. He says he can run but his explosiveness isn't there. Marrone says they have a tough decision to make regarding playing him on Sunday. Injury Page.

Saints Preview: It doesn't get any tougher than this. The Bills travel to the Big Easy this week but there will be nothing easy about this assignment. The big bad Saints await the Bills in what looks like a very long uphill battle to even their record on the season. Bills Daily will be at the game to witness this one personally as a result there will be no Bills Blitz and grades this week as I'm just going to enjoy my first trip to New Orleans. Game Preview.

Jackson, Lawson Sit: Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller, Kyle Williams, and Manny Lawson joined EJ Manuel as the sidelined players in today's practice. Jackson was watching from the sidelines in sweats with no helmet. Spiller said he is doing 10 times better than last week but Doug Marrone said he is doing worse and they will make a decision later in the week whether or not to play him on Sunday. Spiller said he won't let an ankle injury keep him out so this will be interesting to watch. Stephon Gilmore took off the big club on his hand and took the reps with the starters at corner which moved Aaron Williams back to safety. Injury Page.

Williams Honored: Mario Williams has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. His two sack effort against Miami included a forced fumble that led to the Bills winning field goal. Williams is now tied for second in the league with 10 sacks.

Rough Being A Bills Fan: It was a great road division win in Miami on Sunday but as Doug Marrone said it best, it took years off of his life and likely the life of many Bills fans. Tony Bogyo breaks down the health dangers of being a Bills fan in his latest column highlighting the victory. Complete Story.

Lawson, Jackson OK: Fred Jackson acknowledged that re-aggravating his sprained MCL twice yesterday is a setback in the recovery of the knee injury. He said he will work hard with the training staff and both he, and Doug Marrone said he will play on Sunday against New Orleans. The only other injury of note from the win over Miami was the hamstring injury to Manny Lawson. Marrone said it is the same hamstring he hurt against Cincinnati a week earlier but it is in a different spot. He expects him to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday. Injury Page.
