Statue To Ralph: On the one year anniversary of his death, the Bills announced they will put a statue up of Ralph Wilson at the stadium that bears his name. The Pegulas and Mary Wilson are involved in the creative elements of the bronze statue that will stand on the Northwest corner near the team store.
Whaley At Owners Meeting: Doug Whaley spoke with reporters from the owners meeting yesterday and said that the team is up against the salary cap and just have enough money for their draft picks and for injury replacement players. They still have some flexibility for players getting the minimum. He said he does plan to reach out to free agent Brandon Spikes this week to see if it makes sense for both sides for him to come back in a backup role. Whaley also praised Jim Overdorf's role in the signing of free agents this offseason. Whaley said they didn't get everything they wanted in free agency as they struck out in adding offensive linemen to the team after going after Bryan Bulaga and Jhari Evans.
Ryan At Owners Meeting: Rex Ryan sat with reporters for almost an hour and a half at the AFC Coach's breakfast. He spoke of the depth at running back several times omitting Bryce Brown everytime until saying he would remember his name when he stops fumbling. He called LeSean McCoy his bell cow who will play on third downs as well as Fred Jackson. He talked about being stunned when finding out McCoy was available and the deal took 30 minutes to complete. He didn't like losing Kiko Alonso but feels the club was helped more by making the deal. He's very excited with the talent in the secondary and feels he has two good young tackles to build the offensive line with.
Clay Introduced: The Bills introduced their newest free agent signee as Charles Clay spoke to the Western New York media by conference call. He said he was excited about coming to the Bills before his free agent visit but the fact they really wanted him made him want to play here even more. He was intrigued by the direction the team is taking and said they expect him to not come off the field. He is excited to be able to use his versatility in the team's new offense.
London Plan Flawed: If you have been following our twitter feed the past few days you know we are unhappy with the NFL's plan to make the Bills game in London against Jacksonville available to out of market fans online only. No Comp Picks: The Bills did not get awarded any compensatory picks for this year's draft. The league gave out the picks last night for teams that lost more players than they gained in free agency last year.
Browns To Fisher? A day after a WGR report, Vic Carucci reports for the Buffalo News that the Bills will train with the Browns instead of the Steelers this summer. He reports that Cleveland will come to St. John's Fisher College for two days of workouts earlier in camp than the two sides will play a preseason game in Cleveland.
Jags Game To Stream Worldwide: To all you out of town Bills fans like me who rely on the NFL Sunday Ticket to get your Bills games you may be out of luck for the game in London against Jacksonville on October 25th. The NFL announced yesterday it will be the first game to be streamed worldwide and will not be part of the Ticket package because of the 9:30am start. It is unknown what digital platform it will be on or how much the NFL will try to make on this new initiative on top of the money they make on the ticket package. Speculation is Facebook or You Tube since they have new partnership agreements with the league. The game will still be televised locally in the Jacksonville and Buffalo markets.
Blackout Policy Lifted: In other news from the owners meetings, the NFL has decided to suspend the blackout policy for the 2015 season. Russ Brandon said they weren't really worried about potential blackouts this year since ticket sales are going very well. Brandon said season ticket sales are higher than they have been in years they are reportedly have sold a few thousand more season tickets already for 2015 than they had last year. They are expected to have more than 50,000 season ticket holders this year.

Steelers Scrimmage Off? When the Bills traveled to Pennsylvania last summer for workouts and a scrimmage the deal was for Pittsburgh to come to St. Johns Fisher this year but that may not be happening. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that the Steelers won't be coming partly because they have an extra preseason game this year as they will be in the Hall of Fame game. The Bills went there last year despite taking part in the Hall of Fame game last year. The deal between the two clubs was made between the coaches and Doug Marrone not being there may be another reason it was cancelled. WGR reports that the Browns are the leading contender as a replacement. What would make that interesting is that the Browns are also the front runners to appear on Hard Knocks which would likely get the Bills on one episode of the show if it were to happen.

Miami Doesn't Match: The Bills made it official, announcing that the Dolphins have declined to match the offer sheet for Charles Clay and he is now a member of the Buffalo Bills. Reports came out this afternoon they declined to match it which was expected after the Bills took a lot of time to craft an offer that would be very difficult for Miami to match with their recent signing of Jordan Cameraon to play tight end.
Harvin Deal Has Two Voidable Years: Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports reports the deal signed by Percy Harvin is really a three year deal with the last two voidable. The deal originally was reported as a one year deal worth $6 Million and indeed that may end up being the case. The contract is written for three years, $24 Million but that was to give the team salary cap relief this year. Only $4 Million will count against the cap but will get a $3 Million signing bonus and a base salary of $2.9 Million plus a $100,000 workout bonus in 2015. If the team doesn't void the deal after this season the cap figure will go up a lot unless the deal gets restructured. Front Office Page.

Harvin Deal Official: The Bills made two moves official today, they announced the signing of Percy Harvin and the acceptance of an offer sheet by Charles Clay. The Dolphins have until midnight on Sunday into Monday to match or lose Clay for nothing. The Harvin deal is reportedly a one year deal worth $6 Million. Front Office Page.

Clay Offer Sheet: Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reports the offer sheet has finally come. Charles Clay has reportedly signed an offer sheet from the Bills leaving the Dolphins 5 days to match it. The offer is reportedly a 5 year, $38 Million deal with $20 Million guaranteed. Mike Silver reports the last offer from Miami was a four year deal worth $27 Million with $15 Million guaranteed. The Bills spent a week working on an offer sheet that would be very difficult for Miami to match. It seems unlikely Miami will match it as the deal is reportedly built to attack the cap next year when Miami has real cap problems. Tim Graham reported earlier that Miami has grown tired of waiting for him and consider him a Bill already.
Urbik Restructures: Kraig Urbik became the latest Bill to restructure his contract to give them salary cap relief. According to Mike Rodak of ESPN his base salary is reduced by $1.5 Million this year and from $2.9 Million to $1.2 Million in 2016. Rodak says it appears to be a straight pay cut since no years were added to the deal. This move likely keeps him from being released as a cap casualty. Rodak says the team is now just over $16 Million under the cap after the latest restructuring not including the deals signed by Jairus Wynn and agreed to by Percy Harvin.
