Week 11: Bills vs. N.Y. Jets
at
Sunday, Nov. 17th
1:00pm ET
The Bills welcome the division rival Jets to Orchard Park for the second to last game of the season at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Buffalo looks to bounce back from their worst performance of the year last week in Pittsburgh while a rested New York team comes to Buffalo after a bye. The Jets are just 1-3 under Coach Rex Ryan coming off of their week off. The well-rested Jets had six straight days off during the bye week.

INJURY UPDATE

The Bills are very banged up at wide receiver with three players hurt. Robert Woods will miss his second game in a row with a high ankle sprain. Stevie Johnson suffered a groin injury against the Steelers and it looks like he is questionable at best. Chris Hogan and Da'Norris Searcy left last week's game early but should be ready this week.

The Jets look like they will be getting WR Santonio Holmes back after missing five games with a hamstring injury. Fellow WR James Kerley has missed practice time this week with an elbow injury. DT Kenrick Ellis is battling a back injury that has limited him a bit this week in practice.

Check out our Bills Daily Injury Page throughout the week for the latest updates on the injured players.

KEY MATCHUPS

CB Nickell Robey vs. WR David Nelson:
The former Bill is out for revenge as he didn't like the way the Bills decided to not tender him an offer in the offseason. He will likely lineup in the slot with Holmes returning and will battle with the surprising Robey.

LG Doug Legursky vs. DE Muhammad Wilkerson:
Legursky will likely have help from Eric Wood against Wilkerson who leads the Jets with 8 sacks.

RB Fred Jackson vs. LB David Harris:
With Spiller in Coach Marrone's dog house, Jackson will likely get the majority of the workload again. Harris leads the Jets in tackles and will be watching both Bills backs like a hawk.

S Jairus Byrd vs. QB Geno Smith:
Byrd finally made a big play last week and may be finally back to being the Byrd of old. That would be bad news for the rookie Smith who has had a tendency to force the ball and as a result has thrown 13 interceptions. Byrd could get his hand on one or two.

KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Go through progressions: EJ Manuel needs to take an extra second or two going through his reads to give his receivers time to get open instead of dumping it off quickly.
2. Protect Manuel: For key number one to work, the offensive line needs to give Manuel that time to go through his progressions. He got sacked eight times in their previous meeting. That is unacceptable this time around.
3. Get Spiller Going: CJ may have fallen out of favor with Coach Marrone but he will get on the field even if it is less than Jackson. When he does get out there he needs to be decisive and hit the holes quickly before the number one ranked run defense closes them up.

BILLS DAILY PREDICTION

Doug Marrone was very passionate this week when he talked about winning now. It is time to put up or shut up against a better division rival. The Bills have played infinitely better at home than on the road this year and I think they will rise to the occasion at the Ralph and pull out the victory:
Bills 23, Jets 20

Season Prediction Record: (6-4)
Season Record Against The Spread: (5-5)
