Week 9: Bills vs. Jets
It's no stretch to say that this may be the biggest Bills game since the regular season finale in 2004. A Bills win would give them a huge advantage over the Jets in both the division and wild card races. A loss may knock the Bills from first to third at the halfway point of the season.

The Bills will be without two starters once again. Demeterius Bell remains sidelined with a shoulder injury and Kyle Williams is also still out with a foot injury. CB Aaron Williams remains sidelined with a chest injury. WR Donald Jones and OT Chris Hairston both have a chance at returning to action this week after missing time with high ankle sprains.
The Jets are a little banged up on the defensive line but for the most part used the bye week to get healthy. Starting DE Mike DeVito missed the last game with a knee injury and could be sidelined again this week. Reserve DT Kenrick Ellis is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
Check out our Bills Daily Injury Page throughout the week for the latest updates on the injured players.
DT Marcell Dareus vs. C Nick Mangold:
Dareus moved inside last week and had the biggest game of his young career with 2½ sacks against a young center. This week he graduates to perhaps the best center in the league in Mangold. It will be a lot tougher for the Bills top rookie.
S George Wilson vs. QB Mark Sanchez:
The Jets problem this year has been a struggling offense. Sanchez played much better before the bye. Wilson has become the Bills big play threat on defense with four interceptions and will be watching Sanchez all game long.
Bills OL vs. OLB Aaron Maybin:
The former Bill would like nothing better than to cause mayhem on the Bills offensive line. He has found a niche with the Jets who have made him the pass rushing specialist the Bills thought they were getting when they drafted him in the first round. He already has three sacks in New York. That is three more than he had in his career in Buffalo.
WR Stevie Johnson vs. CB Darrelle Revis:
Johnson gets a trip to Revis island where very few receivers come out unscathed. It will be a very difficult game for the Bills top wideout.
KEYS TO THE GAME
1. Make Sanchez beat them: Shutdown the run to make them one dimensional.
2. Get Fred Jackson going: You can run on the Jets, the Bills need to stick with the ground game.
3. Get off to quick start: A good first quarter will have the home crowd in a whiteout frenzy.
BILLS DAILY PREDICTION
This a huge game among two very confident teams. The Jets are back on track after a slow start and Rex Ryan will have his team ready to play coming off of their bye week. The extra week gave him more time to prepare but the Bills have re-established a good home field advantage at the Ralph and that should be the difference in a very tough contest:
Bills 20, Jets 16
