Coaching Staff, Scouts Spend Week At Senior Bowl

Pepper Gets Job: Pepper Johnson is the first of Doug Marrone's old assistants to get a new job. He has been hired as the defensive line coach of the New York Jets. The rest of the coaches that were not retained are still looking for jobs although they may not have been officially released from their Bills' contracts yet. Front Office Page.

Bills Add RB Coach: The Bills reportedly have hired Anthony Lynn as their assistant head coach and running backs coach. He is the latest of a number of coaches who came over from the Jets where he coached the position from 2009 to 2014. He was the assistant head coach there as well the past two years. Gibbons Gone: John Kryk of the Toronto Sun reports that the Bills have fired Tom Gibbons as the director of pro player personnel. He has held that position since 2011 and his contract was set to expire in June.

Staff At Senior Bowl: Rex Ryan is in Mobile Alabama at the Senior Bowl. He hopes to finish off his coaching staff by the end of the week and the Senior Bowl is the place to do just that as many assistants will be interviewing for jobs across the league. Ryan is also using the week to get to know the scouting staff. He doesn't know a single scout on the team and he was hoping to remedy that last night as the scouts and coaches met for dinner. The game is on Saturday.

Lee Officially Onboard: The Bills made it official yesterday, hiring David Lee as the quarterback coach. He was the QB coach for the Jets the last two seasons and didn't have much success with Geno Smith but was very successful in Ryan Fitzpatrick's best season as Buffalo's QB coach in 2012. He was the Miami QB coach from 2008 to 2010. He also coached in Dallas for four years. New Coaching Hires.

4 Sites For New Stadium: New York State has released a report that details four potential sites for a new stadium for the Bills. The Buffalo News reported yesterday that three of the sites are in the downtown area while a fourth is on the grounds of Ralph Wilson Stadium. The short list includes a site east of First Niagara Center in the Cobblestone District, a site at the northeast corner of Exchange Street and Michigan Avenue; and a location along the Buffalo River in South Buffalo. All three of these sites are around the First Niagara Center and Coca Cola field. The Cobblestone site would be good only for a dome stadium while the others could be open air or a dome stadium. The cost of a dome stadium is almost $200 Million more than an open air one. The estimated cost of a domed stadium is around $800 Million.
