Quiet Start To Offseason

Moorman Re-Signs: The Bills re-signed punter Brian Moorman today. This move is not a surprise as both sides indicated after the season that they wanted to strike a deal. Moorman will still likely face competition in training camp. Doug Whaley said in the end of the season press conference that they would be reaching out to Moorman's agent and free agent kicker Dan Carpenter. Front Office Page.

Reed A Hall Finalist Again: For the eighth straight year Andre Reed made the list of finalists for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Class of 2014 will be determined on the day before the Super Bowl. The semifinalist list of 25 was cut down to 15 modern era finalists that includes two other wide receivers, first year eligible Marvin Harrison and 8th year finalist Tim Brown. During the final selection meeting on February 1st the list will be whittled down to 10 and then five. Reed has made it to the final 10 the past four years. The other 12 finalists are: Jerome Bettis, Will Shields, Walter Jones, Michael Strahan, Charles Haley, Derrick Brooks, Kevin Greene, Aeneas Williams, John Lynch, Morten Andersen, Tony Dungy, and Edward DeBartolo Jr.

Rough Year For Gilmore: We have tallied up the goats given out by us in our Bills Blitz columns following each game of the 2013 season. The runaway "winner" was Stephon Gilmore who led the way with getting a goat four times. He struggled when he came back from wrist surgery as he played with a big club on his hand for a few weeks that hampered his game. EJ Manuel and C.J. Spiller finished tied for second with three goats. Final Goat Tally.
