2012 Schedule Revealed

Bills Like Hairston: At the pre-draft luncheon Buddy Nix said they can win with Chris Hairston at left tackle but would like to add two more at the position since they only have three on the roster. He also said don't read anything into the mock drafts that are out there. The team would also like to add a quarterback, ideally they would like to add one every year. If a franchise guy is out there they would take him in the first round. They would also like to add cornerbacks and think it is a good year for them in the draft. Buddy Nix also said this is a good year to trade down because of the depth of players that are fairly evenly graded between pick 10 and 20.

Pre-Draft Luncheon: The Bills hold their pre draft luncheon today at noon. This is the time the press gets to ask the Bills brass about their thinking headed into the draft. The brass in turn gets vague about everything or outright lies to throw other teams off.

Bills 2012 Schedule: The Bills will be road warriors early on with four of their first six games on the road including the opener in New Jersey against the Jets. Their home opener is week 2 against Kansas City. The Toronto game is against Seattle and it is one of four home games in December. They will have to travel San Francisco and Arizona in successive weeks. They have one prime time game and it is at the Ralph against Miami on Thursday Nov. 15th. Schedule Page.

Schedule To Be Released: The NFL will release the regular season schedule tonight at 7pm on both the NFL Network and ESPN as the league continues to know how to make a big deal out of their offseason events. We will have the Bills schedule on the right side of our homepage and our schedule page shortly after it is released. Besides the division opponents the Bills will host Jacksonville, Tennessee, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Seattle. They will visit Arizona, San Francisco, Houston, Indianapolis, and Cleveland. Throughout the day certain dates of games may be leaked. Keep checking our twitter feed for those updates.

Renovations likely to cost more than $200 Million: The architect firm Populous is putting the final touches on their report regarding renovating Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills and the county have gotten a glimpse at it already and Russ Brandon told the Buffalo News that it will cost a bit more than $200 Million to renovate Ralph Wilson Stadium. Earlier reports said it would cost at least $100 Million. Brandon did not know where that figure came from. He said they looked at three choices including building a new stadium and retrofitting the existing building before deciding on the cheapest option, renovating the building. The Buffalo news calculates that the previous 15 year least cost $212 Million including $63 Million in improvement to the stadium that opened in 1973. Brandon says he's confident they can come to a lease agreement that works for the team, county, and state.

City Explores Stadium: The common council chambers at Buffalo City Hall are exploring the subject of building a new stadium for the Bills in downtown Buffalo. Public comments will be accepted in the 1:00pm meeting today. This is just an exploratory think the Bills are looking to get a new lease with Erie County for Ralph Wilson Stadium but they will be seeking around $100 Million in improvements to the nearly 40 year old stadium. Ralph Wilson has repeatedly said the area can't support a new stadium with tons of luxury suites.

College Visits Continue: As the Bills continue to prepare for the draft later this month. The team continues to bring in college prospects for visits at One Bills Drive. Each team can bring in up to 30 prospects but history shows the players that come in for visits really have little bearing on who gets picked. A lot of times players are drafted that aren't brought in for visits. Among the players that have visited One Bills Drive so far are QBs Kirk Cousins (Michigan State) and Russell Wilson (Wisconsin), DEs Chandler Jones (Syracuse) and Andre Branch (Clemson), LB Tank Carder (Texas Christian), OT Mike Adams (Ohio State) and RB Trent Richardson (Alabama).
