Edwards Failed Physicals: The reason Dwan Edwards was on the free agent market so long was because of the well publicized spinal fusion surgery he had that cost him the 2008 season. He played well last year with no ill effects but he reportedly failed physicals in visits to Denver and Seattle so neither team, along with his old team Baltimore, tried to sign him. The Bills gave him a clean bill of health after he was examined by the team doctor who specializes in spinal injuries. The same doctor who helped Kevin Everett.

Edwards Introduced: The Bills introduced Dwan Edwards today after he officially signed his contract to join the Bills. He said the Bills talked him off the plane from returning to Baltimore last night. He stayed and finalized his deal last night. The opportunity to play in Buffalo got him to want to stay. He liked what the coaches had to say and feels he's a good fit for the Bills new 3-4 defense. He feels he's coming into his own and feels he is getting better every year. He said he has room to grow and will be a great player for the Bills. He feels he'll prove that he is worthy of a starting job. He should start at right end. He is coming off spinal fusion surgery which cost him the 2008 season but he showed no ill effects in playing 18 games last year.

Incognito Goes to Miami: The Bills failed to tender an offer to restricted free agent Richie Incognito. They will now face him twice this year as he has joined the Miami Dolphins. He agreed to a one year deal.

Contract Details: The Buffalo News reports that Andra Davis signed a two year deal worth $4.4 Million including $2 Million this year. The paper also reports that Dwan Edwards agreed to a four year deal worth around $18 Million. He is expected to officially sign the deal today. What do you think of these signings? Bills Sign Edwards: The Bills were reportedly two for two yesterday on free agent visits. After signing Andra Davis early in the day, WGRZ reports they have reached an agreement with Dwan Edwards on a deal. That gives them two new starters for their 3-4 defense.

Bills Ink Davis: The Bills have signed one of today's two free agent visitors. Andra Davis has signed with the Bills and told the team's website that he's excited to join the club. He was a surprise cut of the Broncos earlier this week and immediately upgrades the linebacking corps. He will likely start next to Paul Posluszny in the middle with Kawika Mitchell likely staying outside. Mitchell tweeted that it was a great move calling Davis one of the better linebackers in the league. The Bills have yet to make the signing official.

Open Competition for QB Job: Chan Gailey spoke to the media today and said it is an open competition for the starting QB job between the three incumbents and possibly a fourth option. Gailey said they will add at least one more arm somewhere. It may come from the draft, or from the undrafted free agents, or a veteran free agent signee.

Davis, Edwards Visit: The Bills announced they are hosting a pair of free agents today. Ravens DE Dwan Edwards and Broncos LB Andra Davis are at One Bills Drive. Edwards is considered a sturdy end that fits in well with the 3-4 defense. He is considered a top free agent prospect who had two visits earlier in free agency but is still on the market. Davis was reportedly visiting yesterday but he's making the rounds today. He's a solid tackler and a good fit for the inside in a 3-4 defense.

McCoy Visit: Fox Sports scout.com reports that Colt McCoy is scheduled to make a two day visit to Orchard Park to meet with the Bills on April 11th and 12th. He will then meet with the Rams on the 13th and 14th. Both teams need a quarterback and the Bills likely are invesigating his injury during the National Championship game along with his other attributes. McCoy is projected to go late in the first round or early in the second round.

Davis Visiting? A report out of a Denver TV station says the Bills will be hosting free agent LB Andra Davis today and tomorrow. He was released last week by the Broncos after spending one season with Denver. He played his first seven seasons in Cleveland and is considered a top tackler who added 3½ sacks last year.
