Scrimmage With Browns Set
Dog Days: During the offseason there are a few stretches where absolutely nothing goes on at One Bills Drive. This is one of them. The players are off doing their own thing before returning to Buffalo for more of the offseason conditioning program and another mini-camp just before Memorial day. The brass is getting ready for the next round of free agency on June 1st to see if a diamond in the rough becomes available. Fans just anxiously await for any news regarding the team. If there is news, we will be here to cover it!

Bills Hire Scout: The Bills announced today that they have hired Mark Ross as the new national college scout. Ross was the director of college scouting for the Eagles the past three years and before that he was a regional scout for Philadelphia.

Scrimmage Set: For the fourth year in a row the Bills will take part in two days of workouts including a scrimmage with the Cleveland Browns. This year's event will take place on Friday Aug. 5th and Sat. Aug. 6th at St. Johns Fisher. The two teams will have two practices on Friday and then scrimmage on Saturday. Last year the two teams met in Cleveland.
Former Syracuse Star To Workout: Former Syracuse star Jamel Riddle will have a workout with the Bills next month according to his agent. To prepare for it, he is playing for the Ohio Valley Greyhounds of the National Indoor Football League. The wide receiver/kick returner was not drafted or signed as an undrafted free agent after the draft. He missed his senior year in Syracuse for academic reasons. He was second team All Big East as a junior in 2002.

Thomas Arrested: Former Bills RB great Thurman Thomas was arrested in Alabama on marijuana possession. The report from AP says he was also drunk. Thomas is a recovering alcoholic. Police found a half smoked marijuana cigarette on him and he was charged with second degree possession. He was released in time to play in the Cornelius Bennett's golf tournament. Thomas called it a misunderstanding and said he was taking the fall for other people.
