Week 11: Bills vs. Dolphins

Thursday, Nov. 15th

The Ralph should be rocking for a prime time affair but the enthusiasm will be tempered some as the Bills enter the game reeling on a three game losing streak and coming off a crushing loss in New England. Miami comes into the game fighting mad after getting annihilated at home by lowly Tennessee on Sunday.

INJURY UPDATE

Mark Anderson and Aaron Williams remain sidelined with knee injuries. Chris Kelsay missed the game on Sunday with a neck injury and will likely be questionable at best for this matchup. Fred Jackson will miss the game after suffering a concussion in the final minute of the loss to the Patriots.

The Dolphins are very healthy as every member of their team practiced on Monday with just two players being limited.

Check out our Bills Daily Injury Page throughout the week for the latest updates on the injured players.

KEY MATCHUPS

DE Mario Williams vs. RT Jonathan Martin:
Williams has gone up against his share of rookies and has struggled against most of them. Martin is the latest rookie tackle for Super Mario to face. He needs to win this battle.

LT Cordy Glenn vs. DE Cameron Wake:
The rookie has perhaps his toughest matchup to date. Wake has a whopping 8½ sacks. Glenn has had a very good season but struggled some in New England.

CB Stephon Gilmore vs. WR Brian Hartline:
The Bills have started moving around Gilmore to face the opponent's top receiver that is Hartline this week. Gilmore looks to bounce back from a terrible performance on Sunday.

WR Stevie Johnson vs. CB Sean Smith:
Johnson goes up against a solid four year veteran in Smith making this a good battle to watch.

KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Make Tannehill Look Like A Rookie: Ryan Tannehill is having an ok rookie season but he is still a rookie who will be playing in prime time on the road in a hostile environment. If the Bills get pressure on him and the 12th man makes things difficult it can be a long day for the Dolphins passing attack.
2. Contain Bush: If they succeed in the first key than Miami will be one dimensional and they will try to run it against the Bills poor run defense. If Bush runs wild it won't matter what Tannehill does. The defense needs to be smart and keep the containment on the outside against the speedy, shifty Bush.
3. Keep Fitz Rolling: Despite the heartbreaking loss in New England there are some things to build on. Ryan Fitzpatrick played great and will need to keep things going against a poor Miami pass defense like he did against the poor Patriots defense.

BILLS DAILY PREDICTION

This is a tough game to predict. The Bills could remain in a funk after coming so close to the upset on Sunday but falling short. Miami should be fired up after their pathetic showing on Sunday. I think the Bills will have some confidence after playing so well on offense last week, and with the home crowd behind them for only the second time in two months, that should be enough to put them over the top:
Bills 31, Dolphins 24

Season Prediction Record: (6-3)
Season Record Against The Spread: (4-5)
