Week 7: Bills vs. Ravens
at
Sunday, Oct. 24th
1:00pm ET
The Bills come off the bye week well rested and they face a very upset Ravens team. Ray Lewis said the team will take out last week's loss to the Patriots on the Bills. Baltimore is one of the league's better teams so it will be very difficult for the Bills to get their first win this week on the road.

INJURY UPDATE

The Bills come out of the bye week very healthy. Cornell Green is out with a knee injury and Terrence McGee may not be ready to return yet from minor knee surgery. The team does expect to get the rest of their walking wounded back including Arthur Moats, Keith Ellison, and Bryan Scott.

The Ravens are also getting healthier as it looks like their ball hawking safety Ed Reed will suit up for the first time this year. He has been on the PUP list all season but is back practicing and should play. S Tom Zbikowski is sidelined wtih a foot injury. T Jared Gaither, LB Tavares Gooden, WR Donte' Stallworth are out. CB Josh Wilson missed last week's with a thigh injury. They hope to have him back this week. LB Paul Kruger has been out with a knee injury. TE Todd Heap was the victim of a vicious hit last week and is likely questionable for Sunday.

KEY MATCHUPS

LT Demeterius Bell vs. OLB Terrell Suggs:
Suggs is a solid pass rusher and will give the over matched Bell fits. Another very tough matchup for Bell.

RT Cordaro Howard vs. OLB Jarret Johnson:
Howard goes from undrafted free agent to starter in six weeks. He will go up against the eight year veteran who isn't a real sack master so he may be able to hold his own.

RG Eric Wood vs. DT Haloti Ngata:
Remember when the Bills could have had Ngata in the draft? He would look real good in the Bills 3-4 defense. He may be the best lineman in the league.

LB Paul Posluszny vs. RB Ray Rice:
Rice is one of the premiere backs in the league and may easily run for 200 yards against this sad looking run defense. Poz is the last survivor of his draft class but may not be worth keeping around with his inconsistent play.

S Donte Whitner vs. TE Todd Heap:
The only position beating the Bills as bad as running backs are the tight ends. Heap is one of the all time best and Whitner needs to be on top of his game to slow him down.

S Jairus Byrd vs. QB Joe Flacco:
Last year's runner up for rookie of the year has been almost non existent and is having a huge sophomore slump. This would be a good day for him to breakout but Flacco is developing into one of the league's top quarterbacks and will be tough to get an interception off of. He has thrown six picks this year.

GAME PLAN

When The Bills Have The Ball: There aren't many holes in the Ravens defense but teams have been able to run against them a little. The Bills haven't used their running backs as much as they could have this year look for that to change this week. There will be a heavy dose of Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller to keep the Ravens offense off the field.

When The Ravens Have The Ball: They have a very well balanced offense they can beat you in the air and on the ground. The Bills are more like a high school team when defending the run so Rice and former Bill Willis McGahee must be licking their chops for a huge day.

BILLS DAILY PREDICTION

The Ravens are very good and very pissed after blowing a 10 point lead in New England. That spells bad news for the Bills who may be flat coming off the bye although the Bills have the fifth best post bye record at 14-7. That record will fall to 14-8 this week. It looks like another very long day in a very long season for the Bills:
Ravens 23, Bills 3

Season Prediction Record: (3-2)
Season Record Against The Spread: (2-3)
