Bills Daily 2014 Bills Seven Round Mock Draft

For the 15th year in a row, Bills Daily tries to predict who the Bills will draft. Obviously these are just our best guesses along with some wishful thinking and we give you alternate picks in the early rounds if the players they want are gone already. This also doesn't take into account our 1st Round Mock Draft where we have the Bills trading up. This mock does not take potential trades into consideration. If you want to do more research check our draft links.

Please e-mail us with your comments on our projections.

ROUND/PICK PREDICTION/ANALYSIS
1-9 (  #9 overall)   TE Eric Ebron - North Carolina The top two wide receivers will almost certainly be off the board and the top three tackles may be gone as well. That leaves the Bills with the best playmaker available. Ebron is a tight end in a wide receiver's body and will be a matchup nightmare for their opponents. If Jake Matthews is on the board he would get the nod over Ebron but he will likely be gone. The team can go with Zack Martin here as well.
2-9 ( #41 overall)    OT Cyrus Kouandjio - Alabama If the Bills don't get a tackle in round one expect them to get one in round two. Right tackle is the most glaring position of need and it is also one of the deepest position in the draft so there should be quality starting talent early in the 2nd round. If Kouandjio is not there they could go for Joel Bitonio or Morgan Moses from that position. If they get a tackle in the first round they will likely look at a tight end here with Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Jayce Amaro, or Troy Niklas as good value here.
3-9 (#73 overall)    DE Scott Crichton - Oregon St. The Bills want a depth pass rusher for the future with Jerry Hughes headed towards free agency after this year. Crichton is a pure pass rusher who can be groomed this year. He is a good fit for the new 4-3 defense lining up at left end. Safety is also a possibility here with Minnesota's Brock Vereen as a possible fit in this slot.
4-9 (#109 overall)    QB Zach Mettenberger - LSU The Bills have been adamant that they won't bring in a QB to challenge Manuel. That doesn't mean they won't draft a long term prospect to challenge for a backup role. Mettenberger may be a nice fit.
5-9 (#149 overall)    RB Lache Seastrunk - Baylor with Spiller and Jackson's futures in doubt after this year the Bills can use to groom a young back. Seastrunk is a big, physical back that may fit into Doug Marrone's long term plans.
7-9 (#224 overall)    OLB Marquis Spruill - Syracuse Marrone wraps up the draft by turning back to Syracuse for a player he knows well. Spruill had some off the field issues but the team has made it a habit to give second chances.
