Doug Flutie's magical ways ended in the Big Apple with a 34-12 loss at the hands of Vinny Testerverde and the New York Jets. Testerverde won the battle of the former heisman trophy winners by throwing perfect passes after overcoming an interception on the first play of the game.

Flutie couldn't find the open recievers downfield as the Jets played great defense keeping Flutie in the pocket and covering the recievers downfield.
